🌆 Welcome to Sagrada Familia!!

You will need an invitation if you want to access the best parties in the whole city! And they are only in Sagrada Família, the Basílica designed by Gaudí that seems to never be finished.

Controlled by La Familia, Neo Barcelona’s Mafia-like gang, They run the gambling and entertainment megastructure of Sagrada Familia, dealing in both legal and black market operations. Their boss is called “Father”, but that’s just a title; they’re not an actual family, and simply took their name from the unfinished cathedral.

🫢 Meet the Exhibitionist:

Meet one of the latest threats lurking in the streets of Neo Barcelona: The Exhibitionist.

At first glance, it might seem like just another creepy guy following you through the alleys… but don’t let your guard down. When it gets close, this mysterious enemy throws open its cloak, revealing an array of concealed energy cannons ready to unleash chaos.

It doesn’t seek attention… it demands it. So when the lights flicker, and you hear that faint hum charging up behind you… don’t look back.

• More enemies were added to the roster.
• New Tunes were added to vibe while slaying enemies!
• New platforming elements added to the map for more Parkour!
• CyberMods and Neuroimplants are ready to be sold at the nearest RoboDoc.
• New Side Missions implemented!
• The Queen of Spades has been spotted giving autographs!
• Rooms from Sagrada Familia have been added!
• Implementing new feedback from BCN game Fest!

Nights are starting to get longer and colder in Neo Barcelona. The air feels heavier and crispier than ever, but don’t blame the mega-corporation’s climate control systems just yet, Autumn falls in the city. More opportunities to warm up fighting every bad guy under the neon-drenched night sky, I guess.

We’ve been hard at work on Altered Alma, and we’re excited to share what’s new. So let’s dive right in!

BCN Game Fest 2025, here we go! 🎮

Indie Dev Day just got upgraded: bigger, better and stronger than ever.

You heard us right, Altered Alma will be present in the new and renovated BCN Game Fest (formerly known as IndieDev Day). We’ve been preparing a lot of stuff for you guys this time around, we will bring a new DEMO, so if you want to try it with us, you’re welcome to also give us your Feedback.

🌆 Welcome to the Great Vyne!!

The city is overpopulated and overcrowded with people, crime and neons. That’s why the Great Vyne is here. A whole city by itself, but made of warm nature instead of the cold steel of the mega-corpo buildings… A fresh air from the chaotic gases of the city.

Such a big place makes it impossible to not be inhabited by someone… The Vynefolk, Residents of Neo Barcelona since before the city even finished construction, they are long-lived enough that many of those same settlers are still around today.

Rooted in real places from our own real Barcelona landmarks: the rolling green of the Collserola mountains, the serene gardens of Ciutadella, and even the unmistakable silhouette of Montserrat, rising majestically in the distance.
Just like the city itself, the Great Vyne has layers of history woven into it.

Dev Update: September Progress 📅

• Great Vyne has been improved, with better visuals and level designs.
• Las Ramblas has been improved, updating the visuals and level design
• Sagrada Familia still under construction, new enemies were added and doormans hired. 
• UI elements and Inventory have been updated and optimized.
• Improvement in player controller for better and more precise movement.
• New level elements and platform items have been added.

Summer is coming to a close nicely, awesome events have come and go, but don’t worry! There’s still plenty of time to have a nice cold drink under the sun with your crew and enjoy the view and the warmth of the cityscape.
 

We’ve been hard at work on Altered Alma, and we’re excited to share what’s new. So let’s dive right in!

Back from Gamescom 2025! 🎮

What a week, what a ride! Metroidvanias are back on business.

Gamescom 2025: Mission Accomplished! We are back from Germany, and it was a week to remember, for sure! We’ve heard you, the new demo of Altered Alma was awesome, Jack’s never looked so fine shifting and dashing across the neon-drenched corners of Spaceport.

Seeing all of you (SO MANY of you too) hitting the streets of Neo Barcelona, uncovering new secrets and beating new threats was such an experience. As always, we’ve felt the love of the community, and we can’t thank you enough for following us along this incredible journey, in person, online or wherever we might be. 

A huge thank you to everyone who flew all the way to Cologne to try the new demo, share some kind words, or just came to say hi. Your support truly means the world to us. ⚔️

And let’s not forget about the awesome games and friends we were surrounded by at the Indie Arena Booth! We would like to thank the wonderful people of the organization, Valentina, and all the volunteers that helped us out. And special thanks to Catalan Arts, we wouldn’t make this possible with all of your support.

🌆 A living, breathtaking city

One day, you think you know this city like the back of your hand, the next, you could swear the building are moving on their own.

We are working hard on delivering the biggest, brightest and astonishing views you could ever imagine of this city. Neo Barcelona is being dressed for the occasion: better lighting, more and more neon signs, people walking around the streets and even Zeppelins flying in the night sky. What a sight!
 

🗡️ Up your arsenal

Jack’s been training hard off-screen to ensure she can beat each and every thug that dares crossing her path on these streets.

Soon you will be able to get your hands on some sweet new tools for the trade. Thinking of backstabbing your enemies and ending the thing in one fell swoop? Think no more. Maybe you have a more forward mentality about your problems? Well, we have the solution for you too.

⚔️ The bigger they are, the harder they fall

Jack’s been on the run for long enough. It was just a matter of time the Crusaders send somebody to hunt her down.

There is no place to hide in the depths of Spaceport. The perfect spot for waiting on your prey, but who’s to say which one will take the upper hand in this brutal encounter?
